Supporting Foster Kids in Pickaway County

Utility Truck Equipment - Annual toy donations

Every year, the UTE team comes together to support foster kids in Pickaway County through a holiday wish-list drive coordinated with Pickaway County Job and Family Services. It isn’t a corporate program, and it isn’t required.

This is something our employees choose to do on their own. They step up to make sure local kids in foster care have something meaningful waiting for them during the holidays.

The wish lists come directly from Job and Family Services, based on the needs of children currently in foster care throughout the county. Our team uses those lists to guide their giving, focusing on items the kids actually want and need. It’s a direct, local effort, and it keeps the support right where it belongs — with families and children in our own community.

UTE has called Pickaway County home since 2000, and that connection matters to us. Most of our employees live nearby. Their families work here. Their kids go to school here. This is the same county that has supported our business, our growth, and our people for nearly 25 years.

Partnering with Pickaway County Job and Family Services is one way we stay connected to the community that’s been part of our story from the start.

The work we do every day is about keeping trucks safe, compliant, and ready for the field. That work takes skill, accountability, and teamwork. But supporting the community matters too. This annual toy drive gives our team a chance to serve in a different way — without tools, work orders, or job schedules — just people helping people.

We’re proud of the work our employees do across Ohio, Indiana, and Kentucky. Just as importantly, we’re proud of the character they show right here at home. This holiday drive reflects who the UTE team is at its core: dependable on the job, committed to the community, and willing to step up when it matters most.
